Evolving AI: OpenAI put ChatGPT Voice in charge of Codex, so speech alone starts a job and steers it mid run.

ChatGPT Voice runs on GPT-Live, the engine that listens and speaks at the same time instead of waiting for a turn.
A session has to begin in voice mode, since any chat opened by typing falls back to plain dictation.
The feature reaches Plus, Pro, Business, Edu and Enterprise on macOS and Windows, and those last two workspaces open on a two-week early access window.

OpenAI sends blockers and finished results back into the same conversation, so a person hears what the work produced and can answer with the next instruction. Someone can cut in before ChatGPT finishes a reply, and the correction lands without the sentence ever reaching its end. On macOS the app reads the window currently in focus, and the same voice control reaches Codex from an iPhone once the phone is paired to a desktop host.

GPT-Live holds the conversation while Codex edits real files behind it, so the skill this asks for is describing a problem in ordinary words. A person can ask for something, walk away from the machine and return to finished work, and that shift will reach most people long before they write a line of code.

Grok Build writes the workflow script from the request, smoke-checks it before launching, and improves it between runs. Progress saves as each phase closes so a paused run resumes without repeating finished work. Running /workflows tracks every agent live with per-agent token counts while the session stays free. A built-in deep research command answers questions with sources attached to each claim. Saved workflows become slash commands that a whole team can call from the repo.
Why It Matters:
Elon Musk has put a week of review work behind a single command, which changes how much one person can reasonably take on. For anyone sitting on a long backlog, the job becomes writing the request and then reading the ranked list that comes back.
